YouTube’s front page display the video thumbnail which people are watching right now. It keeps on scrolling which may miss some great videos. If that doesn’t fit your need, try TubeSpy instead. TubeSpy is great user interface alternative of YouTube.

On the left hand side, it displays the video people are watching now. You can pause it and make sure you keep track with YouTube videos. Click the video you want and it will be played on the same video. Or press the green add button to add it to the right hand side and watch it later. It can also display the related videos. If it had the search function, it could be much better.
