If you can’t stay away from the internet and stay in front of computers for 24/7 like me, you need this. Freedom for Mac OS freeware can disable the networking connection intellegently. Enter the minutes after you launch the program. You will need to stop yourself at least 10 minutes. There are 2 modes you can select. Choose the local access mode to stop yourself from accessing the internet and also the other networked computers. Choose normal mode if the computer connects to the internet directly.

It will then ask for the administrative password. The internet seems still connected in the top status bar, but actually it’s not. Freedom stops the internet in the background that prevents cheating. You can’t disconnect and re-connect the internet to online during Freedom is active. Also, you can’t close Freedom. Force quit Freedom will still keep the computer offline. The only way you can cheat is to shutdown the computer and restart it again.

It would greatly improve the productivity if you stop at few minutes after long hours of work. It’s better than working 24/7 without taking any rests. See what would happen after Freedom re-enable the internet connections after the break.
