We usually bookmark the favourite links or websites. But, how to access those links that you’ve bookmarked in your home computer while you are at the office?

Since most of the office and public computers are locked with limited access, here is 5 ways to access those links easily without installing any programs.

Actually there are several online bookmark managers you can choose from. The list below is the recommended with great feature available.

1. toread.cc:

It can turn any web page to an email. It’s a java bookmarklet, so it won’t be a problem to use it at any computer. After registering your email in the front page, it will ask you to drag the link to your browser. For example, if you use Firefox, drag it to the bookmark bar and you’re done. The website will automatically turn into an email so you can read those contents from your favourite email client.

2. Firefox Portable + Google Browser Sync:

Portable software are lovely. No installation and can be used anytime anywhere. There are thousands of portable software that can be run on a regular USB drive. Firefox Portable is one of those. After putting it to the USB drive, it is recommended to install the Google Browser Sync. You may need to install it in your home computer too. It will sync your home computer’s firefox bookmark to the portable firefox. Hence, you can access your bookmark and favourite links anytime anywhere.

3. del.icio.us uploader

del.icio.us is a well-known online social bookmark. To use it, simply export your browsers’ bookmark and than upload it to this site. After all, install the bookmark button to your browser. It supports Internet Explorer and Firefox and much more. So it won’t be a problem if you want to bookmark any favourite links.

4. BookKit

BookKit is another online bookmark manager. It works for most of the browsers including Internet Explorer and Firefox. You will be able to import the favourite links of your home computer to the site, so that next time when you’re out, you can simply login to BookKit and access those links.

5. Digg Firefox plugin – Smart Digg Button:

If you have a great link, why not share with others? Digg.com is a social community site that lists the popular stories from internet. So, if you found the great links, you can use this Firefox add-on so that you can immediately submit it to Digg.com. If others like your story, they can digg to support. If not, you can still check your links that is submitted through the control panel. This little plugin will show you whether the current link is dugg by anybody, if not, simply click it to digg.

    Another great tool for portable bookmarking is Google Notebook. I don’t think it’s all that popular, but I’m surprised by that. It is great, even compared to Google Bookmarks (which it can interface with). I waited a long time before making the switch from Firefox Bookmarks (non-portable) to anything else, because nothing was ever good enough. But Google Notebook is.
