I thought Seesmic desktop is good enough for users. There are something better release recently: Tweetie for Mac. In iPhone, Tweetie has a nice interface. In Mac, Tweetie also have the good quality. It loads quicker than Seesmic and TweetDeck. The interface is similar to the iPhone version. Very simple and easy to get started.
More after the break.

To start a new tweet, click on the bottom left icon. Tweetie can highlight the URLs, and you can choose to shorten URLs quickly. There is no need to enter the URL first in a separate window like Seeesmic. It’s much easier.

The bar on the left side lets you to check with the replies, direct messages and searching easily. In the search function, Tweetie performs really quickly.

In the Timeline view, click your friends icon will lead to the above page. You can easily check their detail and related tweets. You can also do a public reply and direct messages. Tweetie can show the latest detail of followers and detailed information about users. Note the bar on the top (Timeline > winandmac), you can easily get back to timeline or related conversations quickly by double clicking.

If you want to tweet more quickly, you can use the shortcut keys. They are easy to remember in Tweetie. There are not that much options you can set in preferences. It supports multi-accounts, though.

Comparing to Seesmic and TweetDeck, Tweetie for Mac is not actually free. Tweetie for Mac requires $19.95, free version have ads. If you are okay with that, then Tweetie for Mac may be a better choice. Not only it runs faster than Seesmic and TweetDeck, it’s also easier to tweet. For instance, you can shorten URLs quickly. One thing I don’t like is that when retweeting, Tweetie use thier own unique way (i.e. via followers) rather than “RT”. If they can follow the standard, it will be better.
