Yahoo! Mail did not officially support Safari before. You can still use Firefox in Mac OS X to solve this problem, but switching browsers is tedious. Now, they support Safari officially. Since it takes time to update all mail accounts, still not everyone can access the Yahoo! Mail using Safari directly. I tried and the new Yahoo! Mail works pretty smoothly under Safari 3.0.4.
