If you are using WordPress.com hosted blog, you will get something fun right now. WordPress.com has added the short URL service for everyone. When you are writing a new post, click “Get Shortlink” near the permalink. You will get the link starts with “wp.me”. It works for WordPress hosted blogs only, but not the other WordPress blog that hosted by yourself. There are many websites using WordPress php and host it by themselves. If WordPress can add the short URL service into the upcoming version, that would be nice. I know we have nice short URL service like TinyURL, but WordPress can provide the service also. We want more choices, right?
