I and many iPhone 3G users noticed the screen is kind of yellowish. Althought it looks close to the original photo, but it is still “too yellow”. And iPhone 2.0 firmware has been officially released. If you notice carefully, you may found that the firmware just announced is 2.0(5A347), which is newer to the one 2.0(5A345) originally comes from iPhone 3G.
That’s why the first thing you need to do after you bought the iPhone 3G is to restore it through iTunes. It will help to upgrade the iPhone 3G to the latest 2.0(5A347) firmware. Ars Technica found that the new version also fixed the yellowish screen problem (picture above). To me, I compared with iPhone 2G, and it seems the screen looks better.
Also, people feel that the iPhone 3G is kind of sluggish. The 2.0(5A347) firmware have also improved the performance and responses more quickly.
