In October, Microsoft finally decides to drop the WGA check feature in their software. WGA is a check to users to ensure that they are not using pirated copies of Microsoft’s softwares. It annoys users too much and there are many legal actions to Microsoft.
Apple recently filed a patent “Run-Time Code Injection To Perform Checks” which is very similar to WGA. It prevents people using Apple softwares in non-authorized hardwares. This check will be performed periodically and it annoys you.
The Mac OS X is not copy-protected. Remember Apple laughs about Microsoft WGA stuff in TV-ads, no one wants to see “Run-Time Code Injection To Perform Checks” in the coming Mac OS X.
