Don’t worry. Apple has not announced anything about the iPhone 4G. It’s just a commercial from Sprint. Instead of laughing and comparing the AT&T poor 3G coverage like Verizon, Sprint cleverly uses another approach. Sprint suggests users to use their 3G/4G Overdrive device without switching the carrier from AT&T. Overdrive turns the Sprint 3G/4G signal to WiFi, so users can open the Wi-Fi to connect iPhone with the Overdrive, and have fun and speed with the Sprint network.

Sprint now provides 4G WiMax services in 25 markets. You may have the iPhone with 4G speed now. Note the Sprint 4G speed provides 10Mbps at peak download, and 3Mbps – 6Mbps download speed usually. It seems it’s not that fast when we are comparing the 21Mbps HSPA+ 3G services.
