Reddit goes open source completely

The strong competitor of Digg, Redddit, has decided to open its entire code base on the internet. code.reddit.com is live now for developer to help to improve the Reddit together with others. It is not going to encourage another clone of Reddit, but to let users understand how social news website works. It also let developers to devlop add-on or plug-in for Reddit users.

Some people predict that could hurt Digg, but will the fans switch to use Reddit because of the open source thing? I think probably not.
