Here is our download link for the latest Pwnage Tool 3.0 for Mac that works for iPhone firmware 3.0. You don’t need torrent software. Just download and mount it, drag the program to the Applications and run.
Follow the simple steps on screen. A custom firmware will be built in the end. Sync the iPhone to backup settings. Restore the iPhone using that custom firmware by holding the Alt Key and press “Restore”. Choose the file you have just created. After restoration, choose to restore settings when you see the welcome screen.
QuickPwn is the tool that does not require complete restore. But, iPhone Dev Team said QuickPwn won’t be there yet. It will be released later.
Note if you have applied software unlock of iPhone 3G (ie yellowsn0w). You will still need to wait. New unlock tool ultrasnow for 3.0 is not included. Don’t upgrade yet. If you are using iPhone 2G, you are safe to upgrade with the help of PwnageTool 3.0
