I am not sure whether MMS function is important to you, but there are some people think that it is vital. They have started a petition right here, asking friends to sign-up and request Apple to bring back the MMS function. Currently, in the firmware 2.1, no matter you are using iPhone 2G or 3G, you will not be able to send MMS to other mobile phones. But, you can already send the real MMS with the shareware SwirlyMMS that is now available in Cydia. I thought MMS is not that important at all, because I always use the Email instead.
