During the old days, Palm OS is known for quite responses, but just can’t grab the market share of Windows Mobile. We didn’t heard many great news from Palm for a very long time. During this year’s CES press conference, Palm finally gives us something that helps them to strike back.

Palm has introduced Palm pre with new platform Palm webOS. The webOS allows any people who know CSS, HTML and Java Scripts to developer the application. Since these web languages are extremely easy to learn, the Palm webOS may get lots of applications in a short time.

Palm pre is a device with QWERTY keyboard. The webOS lets users to use finger to swipe and choose different functions. It’s very similar to the iPhone. It supports multi-tasking like Google phone and lets you to keep in touch with friends through IM, Email and SMS easily. You can drag those applications to the specific area to keep it running in the background. The user interface looks great and better than that of Google phone.

For other multimedia functions, Palm webOS also looks nice. It comes with nicely designed music player and also the video player. (you need to install manually in Google phone) Web browser works similar to iPhone Safari which lets you to zoom in by gestures.

One strong function from the Palm webOS is that it supports Synergy sync. It will help you to manage the Facebook, Outlook and Google contacts automatically.

With such a gorgeous user interface, easy to develop applications and mulit-task ability, is this the real time for iPhone to worry?
