iPhone Dev Team has showed us how the iPhone 3G can be software unlocked. In the video, the iPhone 3G is using AT&T SIM Card. After the guy in the video type “yellowsn0w” in the command line, the iPhone 3G is unlocked. It seems very simple The unlock software will be available on 31 December for free on iPhone Dev Team website. Not sure whether the software will be command based or GUI based. That’s still a good news for everyone who owns iPhone 3G, but don’t want to use AT&T.
