Now, iPhone firmware 1.1.4 is released. It may be unlocked with IPSF unlock by Geohot, but you may also brick the iPhone after upgrade to 1.1.4. iNdependence has just updated and provide support for iPhone firmware 1.1.4. Notice this new version only supports for jailbreak and activation, you cannot SIM-unlock 1.1.4 with iNdependence now. That means unless you have official carrier, you won’t be able to use the phone function after upgrade to firmware 1.1.4. (while downgrade will not help cause baseband can’t be downgraded now)  iNdependence now supports unlock of 1.1.4, but they use gunlock. That would be in IPSF style which is not easy to reverse.

Meanwhile, another iPhone tool, iJailBreak, has announced they will release a new software that supports the newest firmware 1.1.4.
