iNdependence is the tool to help to jailbreak, activate and install programs easily. It is now updated to 1.3.1 compatible with iPhone newest firmware 1.1.2. I have read the instructions of iNdependence and it looks like it requires you to downgrade to 1.0.2 before you want to go to 1.1.2. The developer said you only need to click the preupgrade button and everything is fine. Not sure whether it requires more steps than this guide I wrote for upgrading 1.1.2. Still looking forward to trying this new thing out.
I will keep you all posted after I tried this new stuff.

this sounds very interesting – cant wait for someone to try it and let us know if this software takes us forward towards using OTB 1.1.2…
I had a 1.0.2 OTB, used anysim 1.0, revirginised then successfully upgraded to 1.1.1 and unlocked with anysim 1.1. I used onesim to reverse anysim 1.1, then followed the steps in the guide. Phone and sms functions were lost so it didn’t work for me. I’ve done virtually nothing else to the phone so unless the initial use of anysim 1.0, despite being revirginised (elite method), is the problem, not sure what
s going wrong.
Forgot to add that activate/jailbreak and SSH worked fine for 1.1.2. I ran anysim 1.2 (through iNdependence) and unlocked the phone. Opening sms or phone functions resulted in either of these crashing instantly, but the provider was shown and anysim 1.2 had run successfully.
hi!
can iNdependence jailbreak and unlock the 1.1.2 otb american iphone? it would be great!!
CJ,
Use the iPhone ultimate page guide to fix the error. I haven’t tested iNdependence 1.3.1 yet and not sure whether it works or not.
