Nearly all the video sharing site uses Flash to play the videos. Dailymotion is now trying something new. With the help of new HTML 5 standard and open video formats, it is possible that videos can be played without installing Flash. Dailymotion started the test at here. It is best viewed with Firefox 3.5 beta which supports the new standards. Although the video quality is not as good as Flash, using the open standards is always great for internet users. Netbooks can now play online videos without using the Adobe Flash player, it will require less CPU power. Will YouTube join the party? Hope so.
