In the Web 2.0 Expo, Digg CEO Jay Adelson gave a speech and thinks that Facebook Connect is the future. Facebook Connect enables their partner to connect with Facebook users. Digg is one of the partners and users can put Digg with their Facebook profile and connect with friends. Jay Adelson said collaborative filtering is powerful and they “are about to add like 90 million registered Facebook users to Digg.”
After adding recommendation system in Digg, the activity is up 40%. If Facebook Connect can really connect with Digg, users will benefit and Digg’s page view will be dramatically increased.
