iPhone and iPod Touch have the free application Remote from Apple, which can control iTunes to play music. Google Android phone also have that now even the HTC Dream is not here yet. You still need to wait for  a few days more to get the real device on hand.

The program is called TunesRemote. You can install it right now to the Google Android emulator from the developer’s homepage. It works almost the same as Remote.app for iPhone/iPod Touch. But users are required to input the IP address of the computer. It looks a little bit complicated for users.
