After we tried to upgrade the iPhone to the latest firmware 1.1.2, here is some additional information that you should know for your unlocked iPhone.

1. anySIM unlocked iPhone 1.1.1 may not be bricked after the upgrade.

2. You can still go back to iPhone 1.0.2 from 1.1.2. But you need to go from 1.1.2 > 1.1.1 > 1.0.2. After all, use some techique to reflash the baseband to 1.0.2’s 03.14.08_G. Virgin iPhone 1.1.2 is possible. Take a look of the downgrade steps we did here. You will get the phone function work again using this method.

3. anySIM 1.2 from elite team can unlock the iPhone 1.1.2 baseband 04.02.13_G. But since no luck to jailbreak and activate successfully by using this method, you will get no luck to unlock iPhone 1.1.2 currently. As you can see, we also tried to go from iPhone 1.0.2 (baseband 04.02.13_G) to 1.1.1(baseband 04.02.13_G), but we can’t pass through 1.1.1 and cannot go to 1.1.2. We also find out the anySIM 1.2 hangs sometimes during the unlock, which is scary. Hence, don’t upgrade your iPhone now.

4. anySIM 1.2 is verified to work under iPhone 1.0.2 with baseband 04.02.13_G. It won’t unlock for iPhone 1.1.1 with baseband 04.02.13_G during our test. It also won’t work for UK iPhone.

5. Don’t pay for the UK unlock available here. It is not tested and will be very dangerous. Since secpack is grabbed by iPhone dev team, free unlock will be there very soon.

    Hey Guys,
I purchased the new iphone version 1.1.2 and 04.02.13_G and cannot unlock it. I tried to downgrade to 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 and use the jailbreak and anySIM 1.2 but no luck. Is there any proven unlock for new phones that come out of the box with 1.1.2 04.02.13_G? if so, can someone please point me in the right direction.
I unlocked a 1.1.1 / 04.01.13_G for a friend using the guide on iphone.unlock.no and it was the easiest unlock method. I’m hoping there is something like that for 1.1.2 / 04.02.13_G

I have been trying for three days now, Granted this would be my first Iphone unlock, I can’t get past the Jailbreak. I think this has something to do with Apples new Anti Tiff on this version. I have 2 ver. 1.1.2 out of box I need to Unlock and I am getting no where fast. Not to give any credit to apple- I think a crack is days if not hours away. Once your jailbroken we are home free, We just need a new jailbreak- c’mon guys get a 1.1.2 version out for us.

  9. admin says:

    Angi,

there is no guide on the internet that will work for iPhone 1.1.2 that is newly bought. Sorry to tell that. But keep clicking our site for updated news.

same precedure with my new iphone. the problem seems to come only with the newest us-versions from the last month. still waiting for a solution… :-)

  12. RT says:

Just fully unlocked the iPhone I picked up 11/18 at the Apple Store SF. T-Mobile up and running. The method described above, (and below), is correct. I updated my phone to 1.1.2 inadvertently, and the method works, but AnySim 1.1 is picky about the modem Baseband it finds.

With many newer phones, or apparently just one that has been flashed to 1.1.2, (Not OOB), YOU NEED TO VIRGINIZE aka REFLASH THE MODEM BASEBAND WHEN YOU’RE IN 1.0.2

To do that, I think the simplest way is offered here:

    http://iphone.unlock.no/

“How to “Virginize” if you already upgraded and have 04.01.13_G.

You would want to do this if you upgraded to 1.1.1, and now have 0049xxx IMEI, and Modem version 04.01.13_G. Check this in Settings → General → About.

Set Settings → General → Auto Lock → Never
Install BSD SubSystem found in System Category.

Go to Sources and tap edit and add http://i.unlock.no/ (if you haven’t already).

Now install “Virginize 04.x” found in Unlocking Tools category. This will take almost 10 minutes.

When done, restore your phone to get 1.1.1 firmware reinstalled.

When phone have been restored, you can Activate and unlock as normal.

You need to follow the sequence religiously, and restart the phone at times, but wait for it to restart after going to jailbreakme.com”

    It still works. Be persistent.

  13. admin says:

    RT,

your way is easier. But during my test, the iphone.unlock.no does not download the anySIM correctly. So that’s why I use the manual method

  25. Roman Olney says:

I used http://www.iphoneunlockuk.com/ to unlock my new UK 04.02.13_G baseband iphone… but it will only work with O2 sim cards that is pre-pay and contract as opposed to just contract sims. This means that I can use the phone like an ipod touch, but since I don’t live in the UK any longer – it is not practicle to use the O2 pre-pay sim.

Anyone know how I can unlock it to any international sim card?

    R

  26. admin says:

    Roman Olney,

    That site is a scam.

    Hey Folks,

I just bought iPhone with 1.1.2 with baseband 04.02.13_G.
There is plenty of information I googled on unlocking the iPhone. Don’t know which one should I follow and take a risk.

I would really appreciate if anyone can please explain the step by step procedure for unlocking to the novice like me.

  31. admin says:

    Rahool,

Hi. You can take a look of the iPhone Ultimate Page on the top navigation bar. Easy.

And one more thing, always try it at your own risk. There’s no risk-free guide on the internet.
