$69.99+/month. 3G iPhone data plan is expensive

3G iPhone has been launched. It’s cheap and loads website quickly. But, you know, for fast internet, you need to pay high price. AT&T has released a press release about it. AT&T will not share revenue with Apple anymore. New 3G iPhone will be subsidized.

The data plan and voice plan will be sold separately. Data plan will be started from US$30/month for unlimited data. Voice plan will be started from US$39.99/month in addition. That means to have an iPhone with lots of fun, you need to pay at least US$69.99/month.

That’s a huge money. It seems no way to unlock it as the activation needs to be done in stores, will it affects the sales because of the plans?
