  I cant seem to do the iphone app part…i log in and everything but i cant do this

  Step 7. Use WinSCP to connect to your iPhone. Type in the correct iPhone’s IP address, “root” as username, “alpine” as password. The first login should take long, answer “YES” when asked.

  Step 8. Download and extract anySIM 1.2.1u. Upload it to iPhone’s “/Applications” folder. Make sure you choose “binary” and chmod type as “755″.

  Thanks for helping us out man, appreciate it! I recently bought an iPhone from the States and it’s firmware version is 1.1.2 and after following your steps to downgrade it I was able to jailbreak the phone till 1.1.2. The US sim from Cingular works on it just fine but when i change the sim to an Indian Sim it says it’s not from a recognized country, also when try to run the software AnySim 1.2.1u on it, it says that anysim was unable to unlock your iPhone – please switch off and then on your phone. After trying this for a couple of times it becomes a brick, and then I have to restore the phone to the factory condition and start the whole process again. I would really appreciate if you could help me with this!

  that means you didn’t follow the guide and set the attributes correctly. Right click /Applications/AnySIM/anySIM, and choose 755 for the chmod.

  Wen I press login it will say Network Error: Connection refused.

  Why is this? Is this because I haven’t updated to 1.1.2 yet? Because I have 1.1.1 with oktoprep. NOT OTB.

  For me it is important to know that I can connect to the phone after I upgrade.

  I bought an iPhone (version 1.1.2 a.k.a OTB) and followed the guides on this site. However I had to do an additional tweak to make anySIM under 755 mode. Thus, when running the app from my iPhone it gets stuck with a white line towards the home button. Can anyone advice me on what is required/missing to remove the “This iPhone must be used with an approved SIM” message? So far I have jailbreak it, installed anySIM1.1.2u as well as the iWorld app.

  My iPhone has the last firmware 04.02.13_G and carries 1.1.2 straight out of the box. I cannot seem to find anything helpful from the web.

  Do you have anything out there i might have skipped?

  I really need your help.

  I cannot seem to downgrade my iPhone from 1.1.2 straight out of the box bought this January 08.

  For some reason i cannot even put it on 1.0.2 as it throws it back asking to connect it to iTunes with a huge i warning sign icon.

  Once restarted it goes straight back to 04.02.13_G with 1.1.2

  Please help.

  Hi, I am having iPhone with firmware 1.1.2. I downgraded the firmware to 1.1.1 and followed the steps given for 1.1.1. Now I can able to access my home Wify. But when i ran anySIM application its not unlocking and giving message to restart. Please let me know what should I do. Yet I didnt subscribed with AT&T Neither I put any SIM in it.
  Shall I follow the steps given for 1.1.2 ? Did I have to put SIM in it ?

  to peeps with new otb 1.1.2 iphone, if the 4th & 5th digits of your serial # are 4,5 or higher, then you have the latest 4.6 bootloader….it is possible to activate & jailbreak the unit to install apps and use the unit as an ipod touch, but no software unlock yet….however,there’s a way to unlock it….all at your own risk and expense….

  Hi there, I have iphone with Firmware 1.1.2 and older 3.9 bootloader from US. I did downgrade to 1.1.1 (and event to 1.0.2 and virginized) jailbroke, installed oktoprep and run anysim before and even after update to 1.1.2. Still cannot sim-unlock my iphone (i use Tmobil and can see my provider in the list in settings but it is not selectable). I even bought stealthSim to try to hardware unlock… NO success there. I wounder if you can help me to unlock it. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance and I hope to here from you soon.

  It’s weird to see a 1.1.2 out of the box iPhone that is with 3.9 bootloader. To be exact, this is not possible.

  So, if it is 1.1.2 out of the box, no guide on the internet will work for you. (Yes. I mean the whole internet) If you used StealthSIM and found it still not working, you may check your iPhone’s IMEI to see whether it is starts from 004 or not.

  Thank you for reply. My iphone is not 1.1.2 out of the box, it was upgraded to 1.1.2 (it is week 41 phone). I’ve tried to restore to 1.1.1 and then update back to 1.1.2 (jailbreaked) but cannot sim-unlock. Also, iPhone’s IMEI starts from 0113… Thank you very much for your help.

  It is okay to have 1015. And Independence 1.3 will work for 1.1.1 If it still doesn’t work, restore the iPhone with 1.1.1 again.

  Try to login to your iPhone using WinSCP, and see whether the anysim.app is there.

  Remember, you should upload AnySIM.app, the whole folder, not just the anysim binary file.

  i just bought iphone in US yesterday.
  I can get out of emergency only by using:
  1. restart iphone holding both buttons for a few seconds until display turns off.

  2. slide to enter emergency calls only.

  3. dial *#307#, the phone will ring,

  4. press backspace to clear the numbers, then press 1, then dial, the phone will ring again,

  5. press answer, then press hold, the phone will ring again, press dismiss

  you will see another screen that I believe is older bootloader default screens.

  good luck i donno what it does exactly or what this will do to help.

  I tried to update a fully functional 1.1.1 iPhone to 1.1.2 using iTunes 7.5 and got the photo of the plug with an arrow toward the iTunes icon. I tried several things with no results then upgraded iTunes to 7.6. I was then able to continue using the guide and successfully re-enabled my phone. YouTube does not work anymore…wah!
