(Mac) Virgin iPhone and correct its baseband
(for mac only, windows user please click here.)
[THIS GUIDE WILL NOT WORK ANYMORE. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK OF THE UPDATED GUIDE HERE. ]
This guide can actually help to virgin and reflash your iPhone. It also fixes the IMEI starts with 004 error.
This will not work for newly bought U.S. iPhone (4.6 Bootloader) and UK iPhone. It will only work for those old iPhone’s that accidentally upgraded.
The basic theory of this guide is go from iPhone 1.1.2 > 1.1.1 > 1.0.2, and then reflash the baseband and virgin it. After all, go from 1.0.2 > 1.1.1. In the end, you will have an unlocked and activated iPhone 1.1.1 with baseband 04.01.13_G. You will be able to use any SIM card you want.
This guide cannot guarantee will work 100% since I don’t know the status of your iPhone.
This guide is based on this post. It used Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, iNdependence 1.3 beta 2 and iTunes 7.5.
Stage 1: Downgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 to 1.0.2
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your Mac. Press and hold Home + Power button of your iPhone. Once the screen turns black, release the power button but keep on holding the Home button.
Step 2. Wait until iTunes tell you iPhone is in restore mode. Press Mac’s Option key, and than click restore button from iTunes. It should prompt you to select the files you want.
Step 3. Download the 1.1.1 firmware file here. Select this file from iTunes. It will start restore the iPhone 1.1.2 to 1.1.1. It will show you the following error at the end. But thats okay, just go on step 4.

Step 4. Download iPhone 1.0.2 firmware file here. Repeat Step 1-3, but this time choose the iPhone 1.0.2 file in iTunes to restore. If it shows you the error 1, close iTunes and open iNdependence now. Choose to enter DFU mode. You need to choose the extracted iPhone 1.0.2 firmware. To do it, rename the iPhone 1.0.2 we downloaded in Step 4 to iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.zip, extract it using StuffIt Expander.
Close iNdependence and open iTunes again to start the restore once you got the following message.

Step 5. It will show you 1013 error at the end. Close iTunes now and open iNdependence again once the restoration completed. Click the “Activation/SIM” tab. Choose to activate the iPhone. It will ask your extracted iPhone 1.0.2 firmware. Your iPhone will be activated and jailbroken in the end.
Step 6. Install SSH by clicking “SSH” tab through iNdependence. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Stage 2: Reflash and revirgin the iPhone.
Step 7. Connect to your iPhone using Fugu. Type the iPhone’s IP address. Enter “root” as username, “dottie” as the password (Find it from settings > Wi-Fi, choose the connected Wi-Fi’s blue arrow.) Download the pack here. (If you got stuck in “waiting for data”, you can try to download this pack.) Extract the package by right-clicking it and use BOM Archive Utility. Upload it to iPhone’s “/usr/bin”.
Step 8. Open Terminal of Mac OS X. Type “ssh root@192.168.0.1″ (change 192.168.0.1 to your iPhone’s IP address). Type the following commands consequently. Make sure you press Enter key to execute it for each line:
launchctl remove com.apple.CommCenter
cd /usr/bin/
chmod +x bbupdater
bbupdater -v
chmod +x ieraser
ieraser
bbupdater -v
bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls
bbupdater -v
Step 9. Make sure you see the 03.14.08_G baseband in the end of step 8. Shut down the iPhone now. Open it again. Connect to your iPhone again using Fugu. Remove the files we uploaded in step 7. Download the virgin pack here. Extract the package by right-clicking it and use BOM Archive Utility. Upload it to your iPhone’s “/usr/bin” by Fugu.
Step 10. Open Terminal. Type “ssh root@192.168.0.1″ (change 192.168.0.1 to your iPhone’s IP address). Type the following commands consequently. Make sure you press Enter key to execute it for each line:
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
cd /usr/bin
chmod +x ./norz
./norz seczone.backup 0×3FA000 0×2000
chmod +x ./iUnlock
./iUnlock ./ICE03.14.08_G.fls ./eliteloader.bin
chmod +x ./bbupdater
./bbupdater -v
./bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep
./bbupdater -v
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
Step 11. Shut down the iPhone, open it on again. If you got the incorrect IMEI, please remove your SIM card and try to run Step 8-10 again. Check also from Settings > General > About. You should see 1.0.2 and 03.14.08_G. If not, please try Step 8 - 10 again.
Stage 3: What’s next?
1. If you want to upgrade to 1.1.1, press Alt+Update in iTunes, choose iPhone 1.1.1 firmware. Than, follow this guide for Windows, and this guide for Mac.
2. If you want to upgrade to 1.1.2, Than, follow this guide for Windows, and this guide for Mac. SKIP THE ANYSIM PART. Than, follow this guide for Windows, and this guide for Mac to upgrade to 1.1.2.

You all are doing such an amazing job!
I accidentally upgraded to 1.1.2 and thought I would have to wait for the 1.1.2 jailbreak to use my phone again. I was wrong.
This worked PERFECTLY!
Many thanks.

I have tried pointing it to the relevant ipsw file itself and the extracted(with Expander 11) but it does not recognize any of them and gives the error. Can you please help to locate what i am doing wrong or there is something else i need to do.

In leopard, Archive Utility is same as BOM archive utility.
And, the password is “dottie”.
You should know it if you read our site a lot.

Guido,
I had the exact same problem yesterday (1.1.1 phone - down from 1.1.2; no AT&T signal - I also subscribe to AT&T.)
I simply jailbroke my phone on 1.1.1 (used Safari on Wi-fi and visited jailbreakme.com,) installed Oktoprep then updated back to 1.1.2 (using the update option - without holding any keys.) Once on 1.1.2 I ran the jailbreak program for 1.1.2 (not without many troubles as I had to download this file to put in one of my ‘root’ folders, etc.) and success…now I’m on a 1.1.2 AT&T phone with Installer (and of course my choice of 3rd party apps.)
Let me know if you have any more questions…

Keep getting the same message which said “The IPhone”IPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1).”
I did what the step say, rename the file to zip and extract it by StuffIt Expander, but when I use that file, the same message show up, oh by the way I am using win, so how am I supposed to put the Iphone into DFU mode, the screen only show the logo of iTunes and the plug with a arrow pointing toward it.

oh. You need to get it in DFU mode. To do so, try to select from iNdependence. If it does not work, than press home + power of iPhone, when the screen turns dark, keep holding home button and open iTunes. It will tell you in restore mode, and the screen should remain in dark, than restore it using the 1.1.1 or 1.0.2 software.

74. admin replies at 15th November 2007, 2:12 am :
Ken,
I think you didn’t follow the steps clearly. Because you said it’s error 1013 at the end, then you should virgin and reflash the baseband after all. Than, upgrade to 1.1.1 and try jailbreakme.com or iNdependence method. Make sure you upgrade to 1.1.1
75. admin replies at 15th November 2007, 2:14 am :
Aosif,
looks like you are not that familiar with Mac. Fugu is a program that can access Secure FTP server.

Am i suppose to run the AppTapp before go to stage 2.
79. Ken replies at 15th November 2007, 2:44 am :
Oh yeah, i did evey steps, and as you write above, after we receive the error 1013, we should run the iNdepentence to activate the phone, and for me, windows, should use the AppTapp to activate the phone, but my situation is no matter how many times i run the AppTapp, my screen stay the same, only can dial for emergency call!!!No WiFi, or u tube.
80. admin replies at 15th November 2007, 3:21 am :
Ken,
No. That’s why I mean you didn’t follow the steps clearly. You should first go to Stage 2. Than go to stage 3. Did you upgrade your iPhone to 1.1.1? You should not run AppSnapp before you upgrade to 1.1.1.
And hacking is dangerous.
81. Wolf replies at 15th November 2007, 3:38 am :
Admin,
don’t get me wrong. Your documentation worked perfectly fine. I went through the downgrad, the fugu and the baseband change sucessfully. Just getting then from 1.0.2 back to 1.1.1 following the Independence link strictly (and eventhere it worked correctly as described until step 12) Then I found myself back on 1.1.2
Yes hacking is dangerous but guys make it less cumbersome. I did not loose anything nor did I brick my phone - just need a hint to get “safely” back to 1.1.1 => My thought would be: Getting in DFU mode and then restore in iTunes via Option + Click and the 1.1.1 firmware….
Cheers,
Wolf

Aloha from Honolulu again,
The error I got is “Specified path does not contain firmware files. Try again.”. Could you let me know the name of the file or just send me the exact file for the Enter DFU mode process? In the folder that I unzipped as “iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C128_Restore”, the dfu sub folder only contains iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu & WTF.s5I8900xall.RELEASE.dfu and when I process on Enter DFU Mode, it doesn’t seem to recognize any files (they were in gray color). Please help me again.

Wolf,
Sorry to say that to you. But I am really getting pissed since there are still lots of people didn’t follow the guide clearly. And than complain to me with anger by email or in comments. I also feel down that there are thousands of people reading those guides and only few people digg it and help the site.
84. admin replies at 15th November 2007, 3:48 am :
Demi,
Just select the whole extracted folder. Not to select one specific folder or DFU folder.

I am happy be called “Blind Big Idiot” when you tell me where I did not follow the instructions. So please let me know.
Just for clarity: I am now on 1.02 with correct IMEI and Baseband 3.14.08_G - the only question that I have is: On iNdependence - after the Pre 1.1.1 Upgrade - the doc says “UPDATE in iTunes” and here is where I struggle. Update means 1.1.2…..
Sorry if I bother you - as said if I am alone here please call me BBI

It is really hard for me to follow the steps since those are for Mac user, and I am using windows, so many thing is different, and wanna ask if there are another guide for win?
Thanks any way~~
89. Wolf replies at 15th November 2007, 4:59 am :
@Ken - just scroll up and read the second line where it says “(mac only, win guide coming soon.)” - hope that helps.
@Admin - I claim victory as I was right. When you are using iNdependence to upgrade back from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 - DO NOT follow the instruction and update your firmware! Do the Pre 1.1.1. Upgrade as described and in ITunes do a restore with Option+Click and the 1.1.1 firmware. After that go back to Independence until the phone is recognized and then follow the activation using the emergency dial. See here http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/Jailbreak_the_iPhone_1.1.1_out_of_the_box

Not sure if I’m lost here, but please let me know if I need to download for Bom Arichive Utility before I can make a progress.

Hello,
The things i have done: My iPhone came originally with software 1.1.1. i upgradet too 1.1.2. i have downgradet to 1.1.1 again, and downgradet to 1.0.2. I’m in fugu now, and i have written down the ip adress to the iPhone, when i click connect, it ask me for a password. I have entered “dottie” and ” alpine” with no luck. I tried to remove the “username” field but its telling me that i have to provide a username to continue. Can you help admin or anyone???, thnx
Aosif
97. Wolf replies at 15th November 2007, 6:35 am :
@Demi
OK, let’s see:
Select SFTP window
Connect to: put the IP address of your iPhone here
Username: root
Leave everything else blank and hit connect. You will get prompted for the password which is either Alpine or Dottie (unless you changed it).
Then you get your mac on the left and the iPhone on the right. Use the light blue arrows to navigate up in the folder hierarchy.
It’s pretty simple - just click on the relavant folders and then drag and drop from left to right. But be careful. Hacking is dangerous would be the Admin’s comment
Good luck and good night,
Wolf
98. Demi replies at 15th November 2007, 7:56 am :
Thanks again, Wolf! It’s working and I can see what you told me now! Do you mean I just drop 112fr.zip file into the bin folder of iphone (no need to extract it before drag and drop)? I actually did that, but just want to be sure if I got it right.
For the step 8, can you let me know again about “Open terminal”?
Do you mean I need to go back to SFTP window again?
Mahalo,

And after that error 1013, it said “Close iTunes now and open iNdependence again once the restoration completed. Click the “Activation/SIM” tab. Choose to activate the iPhone. It will ask your extracted iPhone 1.0.2 firmware.”
Can somebody please explain how to do this without iNdependence, since I thought iNdependence only work on Mac…
And everytime I try to connect my iphone to the itunes, there always a message said, “We could not complete your iTunes store request. A secure network connection could not be established.”
What exactly it that mean????

105. Wolf replies at 15th November 2007, 1:25 pm :
@Demi
You need to unzip the files before and have them in a separate folder. From this one you can then drag and drop via Fugu. The same you need to do with the virginizer pack a bit later in the process.
With Terminal you get a unix console and will be able to key in the commandlines that are described in the doc. The tool you find in Programs/Utility (I am using a german version of Leopard so I am not sure whether its correctly translated - could be tools too). In anyway the icon looks like a black screen with a cursor on it.
Good luck - and once you are on terminal make sure you doublecheck your input before you hit enter. And look at the response - sometimes it is obvious when you made a mistake or when you were successful. No response here is a good response too
Cheers,
Wolf

I am having a problem similar to Abishek’s which went unanswered - I bought a 1.1.1 iphone, downgraded to 1.02 and unlocked via independence - however, two nights ago, my phone stopped recognizing my sim. After attempting to remedy the problem by downgrading the firmware and reapplying the unlock, my wifi and bluetooth were disabled (regardless of whether or not the phone is jailbroken in 1.02 or 1.1.1 firmware, the wifi and bluetooth remain DISABLED - there is simply no option to turn them on).
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Any help is IMMENSELY appreciated

If you are not familiar with computer, don’t hack your iPhone, let the way as it is. Sorry to say that, but you know this guide is not for expert, but it is for those who have some basic knowledge about computer and don’t overuse the capital letter. Sorry.

Hi Admin,
thanks for your advice. But unfortunately renaming the file secpack40213.bin to “seckpack” only (without .bin extension) and running step 7 and 8 did not work for me. I tried over a dozen times and even installed terminal.app on the iPhone to run the commands through there and I still got stuck at “Waiting for data…”
How I solved it and got through step 7 to 9 for my iPhone was using the files downloaded from http://cats.omerkatzir.com/Restore%20Baseband.zip. I extracted it and SSH’d it using Fugu as you’d outlined in step 7. However, the bbupdater file had permissions set on it in the pack I just mentioned so I replaced the bbupdater file from your pack in step 7. Ran the commands at soon enough, my baseband is now…
-sh-3.2# bbupdater -v
Resetting target…
pinging the baseband…
issuing +xgendata…
firmware: DEV_ICE_MODEM_03.14.08_G
eep version: EEP_VERSION:207
eep revision: EEP_REVISION:7
bootloader: BOOTLOADER_VERSION:3.9_M3S2
Done
I don’t know why my iPhone can’t read the ieraser in your Stage 2 packs.
I say this is because now I’m getting “Waiting for data…” in step 10.
-sh-3.2# chmod +x ./norz
-sh-3.2# ./norz seczone.backup 0×3FA000 0×2000

Thanks!
150. bbern replies at 16th November 2007, 11:50 pm :
I did it!!!!
this guide is great, thank you! using it i downgraded from accidentally upgraded 1.1.2 (US-iphone, never AT&T activated, primarily unlocked, production week 41) to 1.1.1 ->1.0.2 jailbreaked,….. upgraded to 1.1.1 and jailbracked and SIM unlocked my iPhone. everything went smoothly. Step 4 (above) is not very detailed, before sucessfully entering DFU with the unzipped firmware I had to switch off the iPhone.
after upgrading to 1.1.1 i could not intall anysim and intaller via independence, so i used cyberduck.
once again: great work, thank you. in addition i´d like to say that i am a bloody normal computer-user with no special knowledge about this stuff.
151. admin replies at 17th November 2007, 1:11 am :
Chris,
I think I figure out why you corrupt at the stage. I think if you guys extract the files using StuffIt, it will corrupt. You need to extract it with BOM Archive Utility.
152. admin replies at 17th November 2007, 1:11 am :
bbern,
great to hear that. And thx for your comments. Stay tuned for more updates.
153. admin replies at 17th November 2007, 1:14 am :
Roly,
you need to select the original downloaded file. Not the extracted one
154. Chris replies at 17th November 2007, 1:32 am :
Hi Admin, actually I right clicked on the file and opened with BOMArchiveHelper.app (Default) (10.4.7). I followed exactly what you have instructed.
Anyway, after 4 hours since that post my phone is unlocked and jailbroken with 1.1.1! I skipped the virginizer process (step 10) and upgraded to 1.1.1 from Stage 3 onwards till the end using iNdependance. Thank you for your guide and your responses by the way. Greatly appreciated your help and this guide! =)

In DFU mode that means you can restore your firmware to 1.0.2 through iTunes now. Close iNdependence and open iTunes to do so.

ok i did that and then it give me and error “1″ when im done with the 1.0.2 update i then closed itunes and open independence and then it tell me on the bottom right that it is in recovery mode and it does not let me click on any buttons at all to activate the phone?
there has to be something im doing wrong? im so anxious in getting this to work.

Jason, for Independence you need to read the “readme” file ot go below: http://www.winandmac.com/mobile/iphone/ultimate-guide-to-unlock-iphone-111-for-free/#more-367
That will show you how to get it working.
171. Roly replies at 17th November 2007, 5:56 am :
admin, im sorry if im bothering you for explanations but im doing everything you say to do in the guide and its not working.
im not very cleary what to do.
when i restore the phone with the file 1.1.1 it give me the error “1″ instead of the 1015 error that you say that is suppose to give me.
im wondering if that is skipping to the other step in which you say that it should give me the “1″ error?
When you told me to close independence because it said i was in DFU mode i did and then open itunes to restore it with 1.0.2 I then closed itunes when it gave me the “1″ error, then when i open independence it does not let me do anything.
again sorry if this is bothering you i have just been trying to do this for ever now..
thanks…

You didn’t downgrade your firmware correctly. Please try again by putting it in DFU mode. Hold Power+Home Button for a few seconds, when the screen turns dark, release the power button. Open iTunes now and see whether it tells you in restore mode. If not, try again.
You may restore from 1.1.2 > 1.1.1 > 1.0.2

Also every time I download this, it will create a folder iphone1,1_1 as well, is this correct. When I hold down the alt-option button and pressing the Restore button, it allows me to select the the file iPhone1,1_1-1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw. Obviously there are many successful case in the comments. Please check.
Are you using Safari, if yes, the reason why you see that the file is in .zip could possibly caused by Safari. It is your problem that you didn’t configure you Safari correctly. Please don’t assume this guide won’t work for everyone or whatsoever without thinking any other possibility or errors not related to unlock.

It is not newly bought.. It’s 3 months old… Am I going to damage the phone by trying?

JO Admin,
I had to fix the safari as you told. It worked perfectly. I’m now at stage 2. And i have another problem.
When i’m opening the terminal and i filled ” ssh root etc.” the terminal askes me the password; but i can’t fil something in.
Is it because my ip from the mac is different than my iphone’s ip?
thnx Benny B

Hi
I am following your instructions, and trying to find answers in the comments. but i am stuck now… Chris has mentioned this before, but i could not figure out how to solve it.
you need a file called secpack matching your current firmware version in this folder
see http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com for instructions on finding this file
Waiting for data…
i have tried to download secpack from where you suggested, did not work. tried to remove the bin extension, did not work.
i have not used Stuffit, i have used BOM (as you suggested).
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks a lot.

Chris now have a happy iPhone with 1.1.1.
Anyway, is your iPhone newly bought?

Admin,
Excellent tutorial!
i’m having a problem anyways that wasn’t addressed anywhere, and wanted to see if you could give me a hand.
I have a working 1.0.2 iPhone with 04.02.13_G modem firmware.
Bluetooth, wifi address, imei and iccid are showing numbers, so i think they are all working right, but i can’t get wifi really working, i suppose that’s because the modem firmware is actually for 1.1.2 fw.
Do you have any idea on how to flash the modem firmware back to the 03.14.08_G that was originally from 1.0.2?
I have all the files, the olny thing missing for me is a way to access to phone without using WiFi (cause i dont have any).
If you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Aloha!
Just got my phone back. All I can say is THANK YOU! Once I got my phone back to 1.0.2, i had access to the springboard and an UNLOCKED telephone! I had iphonesimfree before.
After my kid accidently “upgraded” my firmware, I was ready to kill her. Thanks for not making me have to turn my kid into fish food! : )

i got the phone 2 days ago from HK, and by stupid mistake upgraded it when i connected to itunes.
i managed to downgrade it to 1.0.2, and now it can connect to wifi and it looks normal, except of course i can not use my Tmobile sim card (which i used for half a day when i got the phone).
so i have been trying to unlock the phone following your procedure.
i am not sure what i am doing wrong….
thank you so much for your help.

@ Souraya
Which step are you stuck at? Like Admin said, is your iphone newly bought and from where?
246. Chris replies at 21st November 2007, 11:06 pm :
@ Souraya,
are you stuck on step 7? For some reason, the secpack provided by the admin’s link did not run for me and was stuck at “Awaiting data…”
So I downloaded the files from here http://cats.omerkatzir.com/Restore Baseband.zip which was given to me by a macrumors member. However, you need to replace the “bbupdater” file with the one provided by the Admin in step 7. I completed steps 8 & 9 but skipped 10 & 11 virginiser steps and went straight to Stage 3 step 12. I too bought my iPhone in HK and how they unlocked and jailbreak was quite clean so I don’t really think you need to virginize it.
I hope this works for you!
I thought about upgrading to 1.1.2 but I’m going to listen to the Admin as he pointed out it has risks at the moment. Thanks Admin for the advice!
247. Chris replies at 21st November 2007, 11:09 pm :
there’s a space in the link and broke. Here it is again

248. Adam replies at 21st November 2007, 11:33 pm :
I am sorry to say that you really can’t get it. Cause having error (1) means you didn’t restore your iPhone to 1.0.2 yet. If you are in firmware 1.1.2, restore it to 1.1.1 first. I figured out independence… I just need this one step to work!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!
249. admin replies at 22nd November 2007, 12:50 am :
Chris,
just added your pack to my guide. Thanks

251. admin replies at 22nd November 2007, 3:07 am :
Andy M. ,
this tutorial actually can help to flash back to 1.0.2 with correct baseband. Just don’t upgrade to 1.1.1 in the end.

THanks
254. Andy M. replies at 24th November 2007, 9:36 am :
Admin,
i’ve read your tutorial througly, but i cannot use it due to the fact that i can get to 1.0.2, but when i do so my phone is left without WiFi access.
Therefore, i cannot get to it thru ssh or do anything.
i just jailbreak it and so, but cannot restore the baseband cause i cant access the phone thru ssh…
any ideas??
thanks!!!
255. Andy M. replies at 24th November 2007, 9:39 am :
Consequently, my phone doesn’t have any ip address (of course, cause it doesn’t have wifi!).
Also, i’ve tried installing a terminal in my iphone and uploading the files thru ibrickr or ifuntastic, but i never got the terminal working properly on my iphone…….
thanks!
256. Damien replies at 24th November 2007, 10:47 am :
I too was stuck at Step 10 with the “Waiting for data” taking forever.
I deleted the files from the iPhone, re-downloaded the virginizer bundle, unzipped them and put them back into /usr/bin, and then went back to the terminal and it went through fine. Hope that helps anyone. Took about an hour of trying different things to get that to work.
257. damien replies at 24th November 2007, 11:04 am :
For all those who had problems with Step 10, “Waiting for data”
Redownload the virginizing bundle, delete the old one from your phone, and place the new unzipped files in. This worked for me.
Just got this working on Vodafone in Oz. Thanks all!

Did you click the word “here”?
261. elfribo replies at 24th November 2007, 11:03 pm :
Sorry! What happens when you click “here” is very deceptive, it opens a blank page but the target file is indeed downloaded in the background, I didn’t see it only after closing all open pages I found like 4 or 5 of the FW zip files, so be prepared!

I think it could be:
1. You are not at firmware 1.0.2
2. IMEI incorrect
3. FLS package error (re-download to re-try)

Hi,
I have an iPhone with 1.0.2, jailbroken (I can connect to the Internet) but not activated. I’m trying to follow the steps here, but I’m stuck at Step 7, because I can’t connect with Fugu
> Type the iPhone’s IP address
It’s 80.216.205.98 (my Mac has 80.216.221.173)
> Enter “root” as username
Did that
> “dottie” as the password
There is no space in which to provide a password.
When I try clicking on “Connect” is simply says “ssh: connect to host 80.216.205.98 port 22: Connection refused.”
What gives?
Please, please help!
