  Ah. You can’t run anySIM 1.2.1u under 1.0.1 directly. Actually, firmware 1.0.1 is pretty old already. You need to follow the instructions clearly and update it to 1.0.2 before running anySIM 1.2.1u

  Works like a charme!!! Try reading BEFORE you think that you are able to hack something! I’ve had a 1.0.2 updated to 1.1.1, unlocked with anySim 1.1. And now I have 1.1.2 working with EPlus in Germany!

  And never forget to deactivate the PIN of your SIM card BEFORE you try anything with yout iPhone!!!

  BUT i’m still having the same RANDOM CRASHES problems with my iphone ever since i accidently upgraded to 1.1.2 last week and then downgraded my baseband. I tried on 1.0.2, 1.1.1, and now 1.1.2, my phone works ok for 2-3hrs, then i get a network connection lost / crashes reboot iphone, then my phone keeps rebooting every 15min and keeps crashing!

  i don’t know what to do anymore i’m missing calls all the time because of that, it was working great before but now its almost unusable, i’m thinking of selling it this week maybe.

  1. Step 23 doesn’t mention you actually have to re-upload the AppSupport file back onto the iPhone!

  Do you know how to put it in DFU mode? Try to put it in DFU mode using Home+Power button. Press and hold, release the power button when the screen turns dark. Open iTunes and when it shows you it is in restore mode, release all the button you pressed and start to restore.

  Here’s what I did:

  Mac OS 10.4.11, iTunes 7.5, iNdependence 1.3b, iPhone unlocked with anySim, running FW 1.1.1

  I followed the guide exactly as described, _except_ for step 5, where I change the guide on jailbreakme.com according to an entry in the forum:

  1) On Step 1, as obvious as it is, click “call” after you put *#307#.
  2) On Step 4, after Enter “prefs://1f”, you should save that URL, and then go and add another one. That means you have to save twice for each URL and then you have to save all the information.

  This was it…

  The jailbreak with the jailbreak-pack 1.1.2 took _very_ long (reading and writing the flash-image)

  The rest went flawlessly!

  I’m happy making calls with Swisscom on a unlocked and jailbreaked iPhone 1.1.2

  I also have an iPhone with 1.1.1 and baseband with 04.01.13_G w/ active springboard (but not SIM). I got here from previously going from 1.0 to 1.1.2, then downgrading to 1.1.1. Reading your instructions, I should already be at step #6, unless I missed something. in Step 6, you should already be at 1.1.1 before you run anySIM 1.2.1u. Did I miss something? If I am at 1.1.1 and baseband with 04.01.13_G, is it ok to go to step #6 or do I need to be in a different firmware (1.0.2 or 1.1.2) before I do that?

  this is a pretty tough question. I think the best way to determine it is to see the serial code. If it is 7R745, that could mean it is possible to have 1.1.2 and newest bootloader.

  Thanks, everything worked fine for me, even with Windows. I have an US iphone (6 weeks old, got with 1.0.2), in between every version including 1.1.2 and virginizing to 1.1.1)
  Just took iBrickr (Step 6) to free my phone after updating to 1.1.2 and downgrading to 1.1.1 (Error 1015) in Step 4. After jailbreaking of 1.1.1 I used “http://rep.frenchiphone.com” as source for installer and installed anySIM 1.2u from there (step 7) - no SSHing needed;-) Unlock worked fine.
  Rest was simple - after update and jailbrak 1.1.2 (same as Mac, just tokk windows.bat inside the file) only the “More keyboards for 1.1.2″ (step 15) never showed up (iWorld was there), but everything worked fine anyway. Now I am on 1.1.2. and newest baseband, everyhing works.

  This was AWESOME guide! Worked great!

  I had 1.0.2 with 4.02.13_G and now fully working 1.1.2!
  Tested with 2 different SIM cards -both works!

  I had some problems with restoring 1.1.1 (in Leopard the Restore package was automatically unzipped and didn’t work (error 1 was given many times). Then I managed to download & use 1.1.1 Restore package zipped and that worked just great!

  Step 8: I had some problems to with sending anySIM.app with indepence (I needed to use my router’s IP address to get it to the iPhone. There I had to use Fugu and change each file in anySIM.app -folder to have 0755 rights (anySIM.app slider don’t slide if you dont’ do this).

  After running anySIM I didn’t get “Unlock succesfull” message, I got an error, something like “This SIM cannot be unlocked with anySIM and you have to quit this”.
  AFTER ALL, I continued as this guide shows and my sim was unlocked successfully!

  Step 11: If this hangs somewere “Flash “something”" -dialog, do this again and make sure your phone lock is off (I needed to press home button regularry to keep screen active ;-)).

  Now happy 1.1.2 user ;-))

  Gentlemn; this is unbelievable, i posted the six EASY steps, that i followed myself (look down) and I cna guarantee that they work!!!!!! The issue of anysim crashing in 1.1.2 is fixed by putting your iphone in Airplane Mode before running the unlock app. By doing it Springboard doesn’t check for funky baseband activity and then you are able to run the unlock WITHOUT UPGRADING DOWNGRADING so much.

  Anyway, it is your time, and your effort, at the end this is becoming the prevalent method for upgrading due to its EASE OF DEPLOYMENT

  I had a friend (he lives in NY, he cant do it) unlock my phone and i accidentally downloaded somthing and it is now locked. All i can do is the emergency call thing. The virsion of the phone is 1.1.2 and the firmware is 04.02.13_G. Im going to use a AT&T sim card. I have tried to downgrade my phone to 1.1.1 from iTunes but it wont let me.

  How do i unlock the phone so i can use my phone?

  Here is your quick answer. NOT YET. The only way you could use a 1.1.2 OOB iPhone is with the turbosim.

  Yes it will work for 1.1.2 v 4.6, please remember that the iphone is still simlocked!!! The TurbiSim and other cards tricks the iphone so that it se your own simcard as a ATT card, but it works fine. Please also remember that the TurboSim ect., is not for free you will have to by a card (80-100 USD)

  Thanks for this Ultimate Guide. I just fully unlocked to 1.1.2 and all work great. I updated from an unlocked 1.1.1 (04.01.13_G).

  At the Step 6, the password used in Fugu is not “dottie” but “alpine” if you can’t etablished the connection.

  Now I am ready for the 1.1.3, I hope to found an also easy solution for the next update.

  Ah!!!! Really can’t help here. I think you need to put it in DFU mode and try to restore it to 1.1.1 and unlock.

  I had the same broblem.
  Follow this steps:
  Open the latest version on ituness
  Plug your iphone on computer with the dock.
  Press for 20 sec the two butons of iphone.
  You will see on itunes a message about recover mode on your iphone
  Press restore and thats all.
  Your iphone is still alive but locked again!!!!

  Hi, I got an iPhone unlocked and it works fine so far. When I check with BBinfo, it shows that the iPhone’s firmware is 1.1.2, baseband 4.02.13, bootlaoder 4.6 and S/N week 48. I don’t use any TurboSim or alike. So I guess that my iPhone was unlocked with the hardware method. In that case, my bootlaoder should now be 3.9 and not 4.6 as BBinfo displays. Am I correct? what’s wrong here?

  Hi admin team, my unlocked iphone 1.0.2 is dropping the carrier in sleep-mode. So it does not wake up and the caller get the message “called number is currently not available”. Only when it is connected to charge, it will hold the carrier signal, even in sleep-mode. Otherwise all works nice. Thank You for Your assistance.
