  Admin,
  I have a quicker solution.

  1: Upgrade to 1.1.3 in iTunes
  2: Downgrade to 1.1.1
  3: Jailbreak 1.1.1
  4: Install BSD
  5: Copy anysim 1.3 to iPhone
  6: Airplane mode
  7:Run Anysim (it won´t work until you are in 1.1.3)
  8:Do the Dev Team Official Jailbreak 1.1.3 (uploading jailbreak files and executing install.sh
  9: when it finished, it will be unlocked with latest baseband.
  10: Install some 1.1.3 fixes

  In this way we didn´t have to pass through 1.1.2

  Admin, sometimes the jailbreak won’t find the iPhone. To fix it you have to use iNdependance to get back to the Activate screen and then it will read it. I experimented a bit to figure that out.

  for those of u who have 4.02.13 after upgrading add this source to installer, installer.iclarified.com and after that go to iclarified folder and find for bb updater to 4.03 only for 3.9 bootloaders after that run anySIM which is also in that folder thx just helpin others and im not iclarified this works i have tried it

  Special thanks to Jay. And yes, you can add the iClarified source to try to upgrade the baseband.

  But if your iPhone is OTB 1.1.2 or higher, you should use another guide here:

  The Problem is whe the itunes is opening the ipsw file, when it says Extracting the software then error! and I can’t continue… I tried with many itunes versions and mac os x versions too and I just can’t. I tried with another firmware version and no… I just can restore it with the firmware 1.1.3 that the itunes downloads… Thanx

  Maynemar srry if spelt ur name rong but i also use to get error 1 have u been changing the file extensions but what ever here hows i fixed it go to safari u should see a box which open safe files or sumthin like uncheck it so that it doesn’t open zip files and changes extensions so anyways then go to

  then download the 1.1.1 firmware after u download open finder and move it to ur desktop after thatput ur iPhone in DFU mode and then do the restore to 1.1.1.. Tried this on 10.5.1 on itunes 7.6 and 10.5

  I’ve done all the steps above. But I’ve a problem with anySim (Step 29) in the end.
  It allways says “cannot unlock your phone -> restart..”
  I’m sure that I’ve done the steps exactly and there’s the bootloader 3.9 on my phone. Does somebody know what I can do? The phone was delivered with 1.0.2, never unlocked, and now there’s 1.1.3 with latest baseband installed. The IMEI is correct, too - that means there’s no problem with currently installed baseband I think?

  S@it!!!!!! No didn’t work!!!! Still give me the (1) error. I used the one U recommend me but nothing!!! I just Download the 1.1.1 ipsw file. When I finished in my downloads folder there it was iphone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw.zip

  Hmmm. This is all getting very confusing. I have a jailbroken 1.1.1 iPhone, which I use on O2 UK having used AnySim 1.1.1 to unlock it. Do I need to update to 1.1.2 to get to 1.1.3 or can I bypass that step? Apologies if this sounds moronic, but while there are a number of knowledgeable and geeky people on here who are clearly far smarter than I, the instructions don’t really appear clear. Anyy assistance or pointers would be appreciated.

  Macnerd if do the upgrade to 1.1.3 u have to go thru 1.1.2 using oktoprep but the 1.1.3 is for people who don’t have official/have official carrier but what happens you also get installer app.AND if U STILL UPGRADE via itunes instead of this method since i think O2 is an official carrier it will be all ok but and u wont have an installer app and i dun think u can get from sumwhere else hope this heelps

  Having upgraded to 1.1.3, firmware 04.03.13_G follow this guide (from 1.1.1 & BL 3.9). Many thanks.

  Some notes:

  Step 3&4: restore 1.1.1 second time then use iPHUC to boot the iPhone.

  Step 14: Install “Comunity sources” first in order to see “OktoPrep” in “Tweak 1.1.1″

  Step 16: need to use jailbreak 1.1.2 to boot the iPhone before jailbreak it.

  Step 20: Install “Comunity sources” first in order to see “Official 1.1.3 upgrader” in “System”

  Step 23: rename iPhone1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore.ipsw to “restore.zip” then put it in “private/var/”. This file will be removed by install program.

  Step 26: I use anySIM 1.1.3 (not the Beta version) in “Utilities”

  Hey, for those having problems restoring to 1.1.3 in iTunes and getting error messages 1603 and 1604. I was running the latest iTunes version 7.6 and first got 1603 and after a while just 1604 so I decided to uninstall, install 7.4… now I got 1603, searched the web and apple’s website told me to Restart Apple Mobile Device Service (Windows only) — it’s under Administrative Tools then click on Services… click the apple mobile device service, hit stop, when it’s done, start it again (read more here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305868)

  Well, it worked fine for me… I will now continue with this guide.
