Remember the reception test carried by Swedish? They later tested again, and found that there is no problem of iPhone’s hardware. That means it’s AT&T problem. An internal memo reveals that poor reception is still caused by iPhone.

All mobiles request little power from GSM networks’ transmitter. If there are lots of iPhone asking the transmitter for the power, transmitter will start to shut down. As a result, 3G connection will be lost.

Unlike other mobiles, iPhone requests too many powers (more than normal) from transmitter. That’s why it caused the transmitter shut down a lot. The latest iPhone 2.0.2 firmware update reduced the power, that’s why it can improve 3G connection. If all the iPhone users updated, the power may be solved. But, if not all the users update to the latest 2.0.2 firmware, that means there are still some iPhone requesting high power from transmitter. Guys, jailbreak is here, please update and help to improve the connection.

Maybe Bloomberg hates Apple. They asked editors to write Steve Jobs obituary and save it as a draft. The story is not supposed to be published on the internet, but only saved as a draft. But someone has press the publish button and the obituary is available in the public. Bloomberg later acknowledged it and pulled it off. It is still available in Gawker site. Why Bloomberg want Apple die, anyway?

“All parts of internet”, what do you think about it? Apple’s iPhone commerical said the new iPhone 3G can deliver all parts of internet. As most of the users already know, iPhone does not have flash. It does not really deliver all parts of the internet. That’s what exactly UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) think. ASA said it is misleading and thus banned iPhone’s commercial.

HTC Touch Diamond also said they deliver desktop-like browsing experience. But, the truth is, some websites cannot be displayed correctly. HTC Touch Diamond’s browser also cannot view Flash. HTC also said their 7.2Mbps connection is faster than 18 times of normal 3G. And it’s faster than home broadband. If I got Verizon FiOS (speed up to 50Mbps), is it HTC Touch Diamond still faster than home broadband? It is clearly very misleading.

Why ASA do not ban HTC Touch Diamond? Are they biased? Do they hate Macs? Just because it’s iPhone and ASA needs to be harsh?

Spammers are trying to deliver the message to you using any method possible. Recently, there is more ASCII spam message. ASCII spam is using the ASCII low graphic art technique which the message is formed by characters. Since the message is formed by set of characters, the system cannot detect it is a spam message and thus cannot filter it. There’s also a ASCII generator to help to make things easier. See, it is not easy to stop spam. We just have to work hard to clean it all.

If you have set passcode to lock the device, it is still not so secure. If you have set double-click home button to load phone favourites, thief can still access your phone book and most of the functions. To hack it, during the “Enter Passcode” screen, tap “Emergency Call”. Then, double-click the home button. The phone favourites will still load. If your phone book’s contact have web site or email, thief can use the full-featured Safari and Email, too.

To fix it,

1. Go to “Settings”. Choose “General”, then “Home button”.

2. Set it to “Home” or “iPod”.

Done. If you have set it to “Home”, after the thief have double tap the Home button, it will load back to the “Enter Passcode”screen. If you have set it to “iPod”, after the thief have double tap the Home button, it will load the iPod.app and play your songs. That’s why I suggest to set it to “Home”.

Make sure you also set “Show SMS Preview” to off in to Passcode setting. It will make sure the thief cannot read any of your personal stuff.
