A clock that uses scroll bar as the elements

November 23rd, 2009

scrollclock

Look closely. It’s actually a clock. Toki Woki Scroll Clock uses the scroll bar to make the numbers and show the current time. The first 2 letter would be the hour, and then the other 2 would be the minutes, for the last 2 would be the seconds. The scroll bar will keep on moving. It will work with Windows, Mac or Google Chrome OS scroll bar. But, of course, the look will be different.

Clicker collects all the TV shows from different sources and sites

November 15th, 2009

clicker

Many big TV stations and studios have put their shows on the internet. For viewers like us, we probably don’t know whether a specific show is on CBS, ABC or FOX. Clicker collects all the popular TV shows, web originals, music, movies and more at one place. When you have chosen the show, it will show the related links on different online TV sites. Just click it to watch. It contains content from major networks to small video sites.

Note some videos may not be able to watch if you are not living in US. It is not the problem of Clicker, but the original source like Hulu, FOX, CBS and many others.

How to: Watch favourite music videos on the internet for free no matter where you live

August 6th, 2009

pickmusic

I know we have Hulu, MTV Music and so many streaming music videos website. But, most content from these sites do not allow users who are not living in US to watch them. Here is another solution to music lovers. Pick Music is the great site that contains thousands of videos including U2, All-American Rejects, Beatles and more.

Type in the artist or song name in the field, results will be displayed within few seconds. Click watch video to play the music now. Or, you can click the artist name to list the related music videos. The quality is acceptable when you consider it’s a free website. If you want to create a playlist, you will need to register an account.

There are thousands of share options available. You can embed the video in your blog. I love music and Pick Music is definitely a great site that I visit daily. If Pick Music can provide a mobile app or potal for smartphones, that would be perfect.

Bing considered itself as “decision engine”, but it seems Hunch is the real decision engine that works better than Bing. Hunch is now launched. When you visit the site for the first time, you will be asked lots of questions. It will let Hunch to know more about you. It is recommended to create an account so that you don’t have to answer the questions every time you use it.

After all, try to make some decision. For instance, you can check whether you have eating disorder. It will then show you less than 10 questions in most cases. You can also skip the questions whenever you want. After you have finished the test, it will show you the results in percentage. It will also provide additional information if you want to know more. If you are interested, you may also help to create new quiz.

You can always use Hunch to decide whether you should buy iPhone or Palm Pre, choose a laptop or even decide where you should go for vacation. It’s better than entering search keys in Bing. Hunch really helps users to decide what they should do in daily life. It seems Hunch knows how to be a real decision engine rather than copying or criticizing Google.
