Mozilla will launch the Firefox 3 very soon, and they want to make a special day for it. Mozilla wants to call the day for releasing Firefox 3 as Download Day 2008. They also wants people to help to make a Guiness World Record for it. By pledging in the Mozilla’s Download Day 2008 page, you are required to help to set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours. I think it’s easy and meaningful, why don’t we join the party?

This Firday, user may found that they cannot send a message contained “youtube.com” link to others. They will receive “The following message could not be delivered to all recipients: www.youtube.com.”. This happens to both Windows and Mac versions of MSN Messenger.

Microsoft said this was a mistake. The MSN Messenger’s blocking URL service is provided by third party partner. Blocking of a specific URL or whole domain is determined by multiple factors.

By blaming third party partner, Microsoft seems not intentionally to block YouTube.com. But, you know, YouTube.com is from Google, and Microsoft can block URL so easily. If Microsoft wants to, they can control the type of message you can send through the world’s largest instant messaging network. I hope Microsoft will not do such a stupid thing.

Microsoft loves to integrate their stuff into Windows. Windows Vista is not so famous, and the next version Windows 7 will bring more integrated Live services. ZDNet reports the Windows 7 will have upgraded Windows Live Hotmail, Messenger, Writer, etc experience. What I look forward is that Windows 7 can run faster, and do not require too many hardware resources.
