winandmac.com has a special edition that fits iPhone/iPod Touch Safari. You just need to type the address in iPhone/iPod Touch Safari, and it will show you the specially designed page. There are many other sites that also have the similar option, but what if they don’t?

Of course you can still read the content, since Safari is a full HTML browser. But if you insist to make it fits the Safari perfectly well, try Intersquash. Input the RSS feed, and enter the website title. Copy the link generated.

If you own the website, upload a iPhone icon. Or, you can skip to the header code. Put the code at the top of your website’s index, everything is done. When someone visit your site on iPhone/iPod Touch, it will be navigated to the special page by Intersquash automatically.

Sometimes you want to get rid of bored meeting or party, but you can’t think of any solid reason. It will be good to pretend you are busy. Let’s make a fake call. App Store have a lot of fake call apps, but only Fake-A-Call is currently free.

Click “Settings” to input the fake caller name and subheading. Set up the background image and the ringtone you want to use. Note you cannot use customized ringtone that has already synced to iPhone. You cannot use the current background image you set in the settings, too.

Accept the settings, and then set the time you want the phone ring. Make sure you choose “Timer” to ON. Click “Get ready to fake it” when you’ve finished. The screen will turn dark. Remember, do not press home button or otherwise the program will quit. No fake calls can be made if you do so.

When the time reaches, it will ring automatically. Click “Answer” and pretend you are talking to a real person. Since it is fake, you are not actually making any real call. It will not cause any call minute.

It looks real if you can act.  But the ringtone does not match your default ringtone, and the display picture is not the same one you usually use. It may be easily discovered by others. I am still looking forward to seeing the Fake-A-Call can make fake calls nearly 99% realistic in the future.

Take a look of how it looks like when fake call rings.

After playing the virtual boom few days ago, here it comes with another innovative application. It’s Ocarina for iPhone. The $0.99 app can turn the iPhone to a real time instrument. It is very different from other iPhone instrument software like Pianist, guitar or virtual drum. Ocarina turns the iPhone to become a flute-like instrument with fruitful sound output.

It is because the software does not load pre-compiled sound, it is generated real time with notes, gestures and nuance of the individual performer. That means it’s just like a real musical instrument. More video demo after the break.

After Google has opened the Android market for registration, the apps are flooding in. Android may be boring at first, and it has a great potential to become the best mobile platform. Let’s get back to the focus. I can’t live without twittering, so the first I need on Android is about Twitter. Android already have that in the Market, and it’s called Twidroid.

Twidroid is free and the interface looks really nice. After you set up the login ID and password, it will load the first 100 tweets. To start your tweet, slide the keyboard and type. No need to click a lot to start a tweet. Direct message to friends is also supported. It can work with camera. You can instantly take a picture and upload it to twitter, or share the existing photo that already stored in the memory.

You can also type keyword and search the whole Twitter community. It makes easy for you to search specific topic around the world.

Twidroid can also work in the background. You can set the checking interval in the settings. It will notify you when there is new message. More screen shots after the break.

Apple said MobileMe can help you to access and sync Contacts, Calendars, Mail easily on iPhone and computers. MobileMe provides you 10GB online disk space, but there is no easy way for iPhone users to read them on the device. You can put the files in the public folder, and access it on iPhone Safari. But, this is not convenient since the MobileMe iDisk page does not optimized for the Safari screen.

There are software like iStorage can solve the problem, but it is not free. MobileFiles is currently the freeware that helps to access iDisk and also the public iDisk. You can click and open the files on iDisk directly, or you can download it to iPhone. The files will be stored locally in the storage, and you will be able to open them even there is no internet data connection available.

Earthscape is the first app that I use to explore the earth in 3D on iPhone. And now we have another choice. Google has released the Google Earth on App Store. It’s free. It loads the huge 3D earth at first. Click the bottom left icon and find your current location, or you can just pinch/double click to zoom in. You may also click the top left icon to search any places you want.

When you find your location and zoomed in, you can see lots a little blue dot and Wikipedia icon. Clicking them will bring you to more detailed information.

Google Earth on iPhone has a feature that is very similar to that one can be found on T-Mobile G1. You can just autotilit the iPhone and switch your viewing direction. This is a very cool feature that everyone should try.

Do you love the little toy program for iPhone? For instance, Lighter? Banner Display? Sonic Boom is the other $0.99 toy app that can destroy your iPhone virtually. First, pinch vertically to increase the boom size. And pinch horizontally to increase the fuse length.

Beware of the boom size, I mean don’t increase that much. It will “destroy” the iPhone screen. You must make the boom to explode without “destroying” the iPhone screen. Then, swipe your finger on the right handside. Your finger is now “on fire”. Touch the boom to ignite it.

Get ready. Your iPhone will be “exploded”. You will hear the noise and the iPhone will vibrate once.

iPhone’s Photo application supports multi-touch, it is cool. But, it can be better. An amazing 3D photo browser, Cooliris, was removed from the App Store few days before. And now it’s back. Cooliris brings the amazing way to view photos on the iPhone. Launch the program and choose what category you want to discover. Turn or flick the iPhone left and right. You will find something that is amazing.

Try to click the photo you wish to view. The photo will be zoomed in. Click the information detail, it will launch the internal web browser automatically. Hence, it won’t load the Safari. You can also pinch and zoom in the internal browser. They call it as WebView. In the WebView, you can type the address you want to read too. The WebView is pretty stable to browse most of the webpages.

You may also choose to search things on the internet from the main menu. It supports Google, Flickr, Yahoo, SmugMug and DeviantArt. For those photo search engine, you will be able to view it in 3D mode.

Cooliris is free, cool, running smoothly. It gives users another way to discover interesting photos on the internet. I love the trick to navigate through photos by turning the iPhone to left and right. It is innovative and good to amuse your friends.

iPhone’s default Notes.app is feature incomplete. You can’t organize the notes using folders. You can’t even search the notes. The worst part is that it can’t sync with computers.
