蘋果早前收購Beats，Dr Dre也成為蘋果員工之一。不過，Dr Dre其實本身也是歌手，仍然有不少Fans。現在他成為蘋果員工後，似乎反而有時間推出新專輯，並在蘋果的Beats 1電台節目中宣佈。
有關專輯名字為Compton A Soundtrack，現在已可在iTunes預訂，由8月7日起就可以買到。專輯有16首歌：
