Remember the video we showed you on how to measure your heart rate in iPhone? The program Heart Monitor now available in iTunes Store. It is US$4.99 and helps to measure your fitness. You can trace your heart rate by using the iPhone to “listen” to your pulse. It shows clear instructions on how to measure it. It claims to works better using microphone.

From the developer’s website, it said “If you cannot find your pulse you may have difficultly using Heart Monitor. “. This seems impossible unless you are dead. But Heart Monitor do require some skills in order to measure the heart rate correctly.

Previously, iTunes store have a quick link for you access those recent free applications quickly. There was “All free applications” to list them. Some readers notice that the link has been removed from the iTunes store. I notice that also. There is no way to list recent new free apps from the App Store. You can list new apps from App Store, but you can’t filter and look for the free apps only.

    Anyone else notice the change?

When we don’t have a nice native app IM program in iPhone, we use the Web 2.0 IM. One of them is BeejiveIM. BeejiveIM now changed themselves into native app and available in App Store now. It supports most of the IM portocol including Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, AIM, MySpace and more. It currently does not support Facebook Chat, sadly.

BeejiveIM can also keep your connections alive with the server. When you have launched other programs, your friend still can message to you. Next time when you run BeejiveIM again, you will be able to read those messages.

You can also use their Push Email notification service. Simply set a push email account in the Settings screen. When you are running other programs, BeejiveIM will automatically push those messages received. It make sure your connection will be 24/7 alive. Your friends can send you messages anytime they want.

BeejiveIM is not free, it costs US$15.99. Comparing to the freeware Palringo Instant Messenger, I can’t find the reason to purchase the software. Although Palringo cannot keep your connections 24/7 alive, but it also can keep you online for a long period. You can also receive messages when you are running other programs. And you can read them when you launch it again.

The worse part is that BeejiveIM does not support sending photos or voice like Palringo Instant Messenger. Palringo simply gives you the best way to share multimedia stuff instantly on the iPhone. BeejiveIM seems costs too much.

This site is interesting. It’s called DONTCLICK.IT. To navigate through the contents of the site, you should not click anything. Instead, you only need to mouse over those links. It will show you the related contents immediately. If you pressed any mouse button, it will show you the above screen. It warns you that you should not click anything.

While viewing the site, it will prompt and ask you whether you are okay with the new experience. Will any other website use similar approach? Probably not. But DONTCLICK.IT is innovative, anyway.

Millions of videos about Apple are available on YouTube, and now Apple wants to be a little bit official. Apple has created their own official channel to show you more about them. Currently, the channel contains lots of the ads for fans to watch it. It also contain a little bit amount of iTunes tutorials. This is a one stop channel for Apple fans. But take a look the background, it looks pretty awful, isn’t it? Even the Apple logo looks not that right.

Google has released the updated version of Toolbar 5 for Firefox. The Google Toolbar team has released the list of new and improved features. There are at least 2 new features that you will love. First, the Toolbar now supports Google Gadgets with custom button support. You will be able to add different buttons from Google to enhance the experience.

Google Toolbar 5 for Firefox also supports different AutoFill profiles. AutoFill is a great feature which stores your log in name and passwords. After it supports different profiles, you will be able to store different address, email or credit card details. Those information will be stored in your own computer. And everytime you need to autofill online registration form, you will be able to choose your own profile.

Great for those people only have one computer but used by different family members.

Most people do not agree Apple reject those useful apps like MailWrangler and Podcaster. It looks like Apple is listening. Apple has just quietly changed the customer review policy. Customers cannot write review if they haven’t bought it.

Those useful apps are still rejected. But that is a positive step since Apple is now addressing the issue of App Store. At least, Apple cares about it. Things are changing slowly, it may be better in the future.

WebKit is the engine that uses in Safari, Google Chrome and some other browsers. If you do care about the famous Acid3 Test result, try the new WebKit nightly build r36882. Not only there are lots of speedup and improvements, the team has also announced WebKit now passes the Acid3 test 100% completely. There are no fail in the test. I have also tried. Make sure you disable all the Safari plugin before the test.

WebKit nightly build r36882 is available for Windows and Mac OS X. Currently, there is only one browser who can pass the test completely. The biggest competitor, Opera, has only got 99% of the test currently. Love to see Google Chrome using this new engine and provide a Mac version as soon as possible.
