Apple does not have the tablet Mac for users, but we have the ModBook running Mac OS X already. To make it even more useful, we need a hand writing software support. A developer in Hong Kong is now writing a software which you can write the characters using the mouse on the screen. It will recognize the characters and input it in the documents. It will be exteremely useful for ModBook users (makes it work like the Vista Tablet PCs), and also useful for those who do not know how to type Chinese.

    [Thanks, Pak]

Guess what, you can install a Mac OS into a cheap and low budget PCs. MSI Wind, even thought it is not available in public, can install modified Mac OS and running successfully. MSI Wind is cheap at $399, and it is light. If the screen resolutions and all other stuff can be used as a normal Mac, I would buy it rather than the MacBook Air.

China is a very big market, and Apple wants to get it for sure. In the CNBC interview I wrote earlier, Steve Jobs said they are in talk with China’s telecom operators. China Mobile later confirm this in local newspapers. According to the source, China Mobile think its okay to talk with Apple now because they changed the profit scheme. Apple no longer shares profit for every subscribers.

But, since China still does not have 3G standard yet. They are now building the 3G network using their own standard called T-CDMA. Since T-CDMA is not supported by iPhone 3G, it is still not clear whether Apple can enter this big market.

According to the local news report, Hong Kong telecom operator 3HK will announce the plans on Monday.  Users need to register first, and they need to queue up at the specific places to buy the iPhone 3G. The local shop will not sell the iPhone 3G for the first day to avoid any chaos on the street.

Hong Kong is in Asia region and it is in GMT+8 time zone. Thats why iPhone 3G will arrive earlier than the US.

See, Candian really hates their local phone service operator Rogers Wireless. Rogers Wireless has released the detailed plan of iPhone, and it’s really disappointing. No unlimited data plan, and the price is really expensive and not acceptable. That’s why a website called Fuck You Rogers is here. If you live in Canada, no matter you use Rogers or not, sign the petition and make the difference. Don’t let Rogers screw the lovely iPhone 3G.

Bill Gates has officially left Microsoft on Friday, and we all know Bill Gates has changed the way we live with technology. CNN made a special video to summarize his life. Let’s take a look of it even if you are Mac fans.

Microsoft’s chairman and founder, Bill Gates, has started his retirement. He will still be the Microsoft chairman and advisor for key projects, but most of his time will spend in his foundation project. Although Windows Vista is kind of suck, Microsoft affects the whole world’s technology industries for sure. We all miss Bill Gates who bring us the Windows and software products for PC users.

We heard that Bill Gates is not so happy about the usability of his company’s product. Now, you have stepped out, time to switch to Mac?

Respring means refresh the iPhone main screen springboard. For instance, if you installed a new software, the Installer will respring automatically, and then you will be able to see the new app on main screen. In other cases, when we want to reboot the iPhone, we usually press and hold the power button, slide to shutdown completely, and then press the power button again.

“PowerTool” in Installer.app’s “Utilites” can do the above tasks using your finger tip. It is available through Community Sources. From the Respring option, you can choose hard or soft respring. For Reboot option, if you have switched on the verbose mode and then click the “Reboot” field, iPhone will be rebooted automatically and shows you the text progress. PowerTool can also help to switch off the device completely, no need to press and hold the power button, better, right?

I am not sure whether it is new or not. But I found that Digg.com made the navigation bar into 3 rows. The popular/upcoming is right below the categories. Ah. I need some time to get familiar with it. I love the old design, actually.

We all know Rogers telecom in Canada sucks. Unfortunately, Rogers Wireless and Fido (which is owned by Rogers) are the operators to sell iPhone 3G. The data plan is not that good, also. It starts from $60 with 150 minutes talk time only. It comes with the data plan at only 400MB. No plan offer unlimited data. So, do not click YouTube.app too much. The top plan comes with 2GB data, with 800 minutes. Enough? I guess Canada users want a good reception first.
