If you want to connect your mobile devices to the internet ‘wirelessly’ but don’t have any Wi-Fi connections, you can still doing it under Mac. Follow the guide after the break.

Gizmodo and Nate True’s blog has confirmed the iPhone 1.1.1 can now be kinda reversible to firmware 1.0.2. They use some techiques to enter the restore mode and restore it using old firmware. Detail instructions can be found at their site. Note the restoration cannot restore the baseband somehow, which means your iPhone 1.1.1 can back to firmware 1.0.2 as Wi-Fi and PDA with native applications.
Someone did manage to try to factory restore when they are back to firmware 1.0.2. After factory restore, the phone function may be coming back. (It means it can be unlocked using AnySIM) Some do report success, while some are not. That means your phone function may not be unlocked even though you restore it using old firmware. So, don’t update because you are brave or curious to try that out.
UPDATE: Gizmodo has found the way to enable the phone function again. click here to read it. We still don’t recommend you to try to upgrade under circumstances if you are good at iPhone 1.0.2.
