iPhone firmware update again (to 1.0.2)

Just after few hours Geohot released the video about unlocking iPhone, Apple has released the iPhone firmware update again. This time to version 1.0.2. Users reported there is no new feature in this update (again!), it will be bug fix. The apparent different is Safari works better and faster. It will need to restore the iPhone if you used hack tool before. People are reporting the old hacking tool will still be working after the update. Always, backup before updating.

    Title says it all.

It looks like they may release software unlock within a week. They said they did use hardware to unlock it though, but they will release step by step unlock soon. Great news, anyway. Let’s wait and see!

Putting iPhone webapp on your Home screen

Admit it. Most of the iPhone applications are based on Web 2.0. Users normally bookmark those Web 2.0 applications in Safari. iPhone Apper can help to put those applications on the Home screen, and launch it directly. But, I have tested and it seems not working properly even chmod it to 777.

    Web 1.0 vs Web 2.0

Web 2.0 has been talked for long. But, come on, not everyone can define what is Web 2.0 easily. This visual picture is the best one we never seen before. It shows the difference between 1.0 and 2.0 clearly. Okay. Next question, how about Web 3.0?

Apple + AT&T unlimited internet charges = Great for users who do not travel to other country in their whole life. (Geeky) Unfortunately, it is not the case for most of the people. When you travel around the world, you will not only charge by the roaming call charges, but also the insanely expensive internet bills.

There are reports that people need to pay US$4190.76 and other people pay $3000 to AT&T. Luckily after those 2 cases exposed to media, AT&T agreed to lower or even waive the charges.

He want the native and great applications come to the iPhone and put those imaginations with pictures on the site. Those applications are possible to be developed by Apple or other great developers. Still, it needs someone to do it actually.

We cannot trust software rewards anymore

We grab files from thousands of download websites, like Softpedia, Download.com and Tucows, etc. Those sites gives rewards to the great softwares. It looks promising for those softwares that received rewards. But someone tested we cannot trust that. He put a software that does nothing and don’t even run on some of the download websites above, and see, it still receive 5 stars reward. These sites give rewards to any software and they hope the author will link back to them to increase the traffic. Rating system cracked!
